Commercium × Year 9: Choosing Commerce

As Year 9 students prepared to make their IGCSE subject choices, Commercium brought commerce straight to them through a series of student-led sessions designed to give them a real picture of what studying commerce is actually like.

Across multiple batches, all 29 Commercium leaders delivered sessions to 325+ Year 9 students, introducing them to IGCSE Business, IGCSE Economics, IGCSE Accounting and BTEC Business. Rather than simply telling students what each subject was about, our leaders shared their own experiences, covering everything from the strengths and skills each subject develops to what students can expect in the classroom, the type of work involved, and who each subject might suit.
