As part of Commercium’s Emirati Women’s Day field trip initiative, 20 of our Year 13 members travelled to Abu Dhabi for our very first field trip as a club, visiting Coffee Architecture, founded by Emirati entrepreneur Nooran Albannay.
And what a way to begin.
Nooran welcomed our students with an infectious energy and a story that showed just how much can happen when passion meets persistence. Before becoming a coffee entrepreneur, she was a Senior Quality Engineer at ADNOC Onshore, with a Master’s in Quality Management. Coffee, however, had always been part of her life, rooted in childhood memories of her grandmother preparing Arabic qahwa with cardamom and saffron. And in 2018, she turned that connection into Coffee Architecture.
